In 1997 Jessie was diagnosed with intractable epilepsy (seizures not controlled by medication). She would have over 100 seizures per day. Before her life changing surgery, she struggled to verbally communicate and was deemed to likely pass on or be mentally vegetated by 21. An amazing doctor saved her life with an experimental surgery, that now has her seizure free.
Due to her inability to communicate with humans, Jessie focused on dogs, who use body language to communicate. This ability to understand dogs and their needs then deeply became a passion. This passion quickly became a career, using dogs to help others with their disabilities.
From thereon Jessie took a liking to behavior modification. To better her knowledge in behavior, she achieved her certification in dog training and behavior through Canine Trainers Academy.
In between all her studies Jessie also graduated as a Medical Assistance from ESCC. Now using this education towards special needs dogs.
